May 2024 Newsletter
As we enter May, the church is abuzz with springtime excitement. As you read throughout this month's newsletter you see how Bethany is spreading The Lord's Work this month.
This coming Sunday is Confirmation Sunday; we will celebrate the youth that have confirmed their belief in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Next Saturday, May 11th is Mulching Day with The Boy Scouts! Anyone who has the morning free is welcome to help spread the mulch and help Bethany's grounds be refreshed for the season.
On Mother's Day, we will be having a Hanging Basket Sale, with the profits being donated to "Living in Liberty".
It's Pentecost on Sunday, May 19th. "Pentecost isn't just a day to wear red, sing songs about the Holy Spirit and read the story in Acts 2. On Pentecost we also celebrate, give God our thanks and remember that on this day in history, 50 days after the Resurrection of our Saviour, we were giving the powerful ability to tell everyone from everywhere about the Lord" - (Excerpt from Page 1 of May's Newsletter)
Bethany's Summer Hours will start on Sunday, May 26th. The Summer Worship Hours will be 8:15 AM and 10:00 AM.
We hope to see you at the Memorial Day Parade where we will celebrate all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country as the Deacons pass out cool water and hot dogs.
