Fellowship of Prayer

The Fellowship of Prayer is made-up of approximately forty-eight men and women who act as intercessory prayers on a daily basis. The group includes people from the community as well as members of Bethany. They lift specific needs of people in our congregation, the community, the country, and the world to the attention of our Heavenly Father. They ask for physical, spiritual and emotional healing as outlined in James 5:15-16.

The group prays at home each day and meets at the church, usually on the first Wednesday of each month, to update this confidential prayer list and enjoy a rich fellowship of love and concern. It is not a requirement to be present at the meetings. In fact the majority of the members are not able to attend. New lists are distributed at church on the Sunday following the monthly meeting, or sent via e-mail or regular post. During the month, updates are passed on via telephone or the e-mail chain.

Do You Have Prayer Concerns?

All those who see prayer as a vital part of the Cristian Life are invited to become a part of the fellowship of intercession. If you wish to have the group pray for a concern, a need in your life, or to add a friend to the list, a blue prayer card (located in the pews) can be completed and dropped in the offering plate. The church office can also be contacted in order to forward prayer requests.
