Who We Are

Bethany Presbyterian Church is a community of over 900 members drawn together by our faith in Jesus Christ, our need for His grace, our joy in His worship and our passion to serve him.

Bethany is blessed by an outstanding building and property, recently expanded in 2006. It includes “The Great Room”, which can be used as a gym, worship center and gathering place for dinners and large events.

Bethany is located at an intersection on Washington Avenue in Bridgeville near Interstate 79. It is strategically placed for ministry in the south hills of Pittsburgh. Bethany is blessed with recent years of growth in members, ministry and mission. Some highlights of ministry include:

Bethany is Presbyterian in heritage and part of The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) and the Pittsburgh Presbytery. Bethany continues an active participation in local and international mission.

Bethany is evangelical at heart, proclaiming Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life. Bethany is affiliated with groups within the Presbyterian Church USA which stand clearly for…

  • The centrality of Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation
  • The authority of Scripture as God’s word to us in faith, morality and life
  • The high calling of ordained church office, including sexual faithfulness in marriage and celibacy in singleness
  • The high view of marriage as a covenant before God between a man and a women

We are members of the Confessing Church and Fellowship PCUSA. Most of all, we seek to be an Acts 2 church that trusts in Jesus, loves like Jesus, grows in Jesus and brings others to Jesus. If you would like to experience that love, come join us for worship.
